The magic of walking ….

I already suggested once:
“Maybe – in this upcoming world of AI – we should not just walk on our own, but also ask our AI system to take a break and reflect on the good nature of its activities.”

This suggestion is maybe more challenging for the AI and relevant for humans, according to this recent publication: Energy optimization during walking involves implicit processing.
A free access summary article is available in the same volume: Walking efficiently takes next to no thought)

Also nature mentions “Maintaining the most energy-efficient way of walking makes minimal cognitive demands, freeing up the brain to focus on other things, such as text messages.” (Humans walk efficiently even with their heads in the clouds)

So, until AI systems get similar skills, we mortal humans might still benefit the advantage of enjoying a walk and benefit from it.
